1. My Nano Shield is not working properly, I still do not have a clear view. What now?

In light rain the Nano Shield does not give the effect you want. That is because the film has to have been completely wet for the drops to run off. Wipe over the drops once and the whole surface gets wet, so the water runs off better. It can also be that drops stay on the inside of the screen after your scooter has been standing still, which reduces your view too. For the best result we recommend fitting a Nano Shield to a new windscreen. It works on an older windscreen as well, but the screen may be damaged, which makes fitting harder.

2. Why does it matter that all air bubbles are out from under the Nano Shield?

If they are not and the film sits in warm sun for a long time, the bubbles can expand. The Nano Shield then starts to blister. If that happens you can peel the film off and reapply it.

3. How long does a Nano Shield last?

Depending on use and care, a Nano Shield lasts at least six months. The effect does fade over time.

4. Why do I only fit the Nano Shield on the outside and not the inside of my windscreen? Rain gets there too.

We tested this. While riding, the only drops that bother you are on the outside. If you stand still for a while a few drops can sit on the inside, but they barely restrict your view. If it still bothers you, you can fit a Nano Shield on the inside as well.

5. What if the sun is out, do I still see well?

Sunlight has no effect on the Nano Shield, so the view stays the same. The Nano Shield does not discolour from sunlight or UV either.

6. Does a Nano Shield change how the scooter looks?

You only notice the Nano Shield if you look closely; in dry weather it does not stand out. When it rains you see an area without drops on it. The look barely changes.

7. How long is delivery and what does shipping cost?

Within the Netherlands delivery takes 1 to 3 working days, abroad 3 to 8 working days. Over 50 euro we ship free, wherever you live. Below that you pay what PostNL charges us: 4.50 euro in the Netherlands, 6.95 euro to Belgium, 9.50 euro to Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Luxembourg, and more for countries further away. You see the exact amount at checkout once you have picked your country.

8. Does the Nano Shield work on a smoked windscreen too?

On a smoked windscreen the Nano Shield has the same effect as on a normal one. You can see photos of this on the product page: the screen on the blue Vespa Sprint is smoked.

9. What size is a Nano Shield?

The Nano Shield for a windscreen is 35 cm wide by 20 cm high.

10. If I take the Nano Shield off my windscreen, is there a glue mark left?

You can see a faint outline, because the Nano Shield also keeps the grime off. So you see an area without grime on it. It wipes or washes off easily, and after that nothing is visible.

11. The Nano Shield is too long for my windscreen, what should I do?

On some windscreens the Nano Shield just does not fit. You can then cut off a small corner or fit the Nano Shield a bit lower.

12. What is the ideal height for my Nano Shield?

That depends on what feels right to you. Worth knowing though: when riding in the rain people tuck in behind the windscreen, so you often sit lower than usual anyway.

13. Can a Nano Shield go on an old windscreen too?

It can. The Nano Shield does its job, but scratches or ingrained grime on the screen can leave bubbles under the film. A damaged windscreen already gives a poorer view on its own, yet a Nano Shield still improves it when you ride in the rain. So: the newer the screen, the better.

14. Can I clean my windscreen with a pressure washer when a Nano Shield is on it?

You can, but we advise against it. Pressure washing risks lifting the Nano Shield off. If you do it anyway, only spray from the front.
